  • In case of thunderstorm warning or heavy rain, badminton classes will normally be held as usual. Our coaches will make appropriate arrangements according to the rules of individual venues and the prevailing situation.
  • If the instructor thinks that the badminton class can continue but the venue is not suitable for walking training, he/she will arrange the trainees to learn the fixed techniques and postures in the venue.abolishThe
  • Badminton classes will be canceled two hours before and after Typhoon Signal No. 8 is hoisted.
    Example: If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is forecasted at 6:00 p.m., badminton lessons starting at 4:00 p.m. and after will be canceled.
  • Badminton training classes will be canceled 2 hours before the Rainstorm Warning Signal (depending on the venue and according to the current school hours) is in effect.
    Example: If the Observatory issues a Rainstorm Warning Signal (Black Rainstorm) at 3:00 p.m., badminton classes at or before 5:00 p.m. on that day will be canceled.RemarksThe

  • The following badminton classes will be resumed if the Observatory removes the Adverse Weather Warning Signal which will lead to suspension of classes during the following hours:
    Badminton spots will return to normal two hours or more after the Observatory has removed the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal.
    Example: If Typhoon Signal No. 3 is changed at 3:00 p.m., badminton flights starting at 5:00 p.m. and after will resume at 5:00 p.m. on that day.What should be done if students are on their way to or have arrived at the venue only to find out that badminton classes are suspended??
  • As there will be or have been no badminton classes held at the venue, Xiangyang staff may not be stationed at the venue. Therefore, Xiangyang suggests that students who are going to the venue should return home as soon as it is safe to do so in order to avoid accidents.
  • If students have already arrived at the venue and XIANGYANG staff is still on site, XIANGYANG will not allow students to enter the venue area for safety reasons. Shang Yang staff will also ask students to leave the venue when it is safe to do so.
